When something catches people’s attention, they show you.
Since we started le.jelly, our community has been sharing the most incredible photos — bags on beaches, bags at Parisian picnics, bags styled with everything from crop tops to tailored blazers. What started as a small “As Seen On” section has grown into something we genuinely look forward to updating.
This is our love letter to everyone who photographed their jelly bag and shared it with us.
First: what exactly is a jelly bag?
For anyone new here — a jelly bag is a structured, transparent (or bold-coloured) bag made from either TPU or PVC. Unlike a classic leather bag, what’s inside becomes part of the look. Your lip gloss, your keys, your paperback — they all become accessories.
Jelly bags had their first moment in the early 2000s and are back stronger than ever, this time with better materials and a whole new generation of people who know exactly what to do with them.
1. The Paris summer look
Some of our favourite community photos are from women who took their le.jelly to a European summer — the kind of day that starts with a walk to the market and ends at a rooftop at golden hour.
The formula is simple: a flowy dress or linen co-ord, sandals, sunglasses, and a jelly bag held loosely by the handle or tucked under the arm. The transparent bag keeps the outfit light — no dark leather breaking up the palette — and whatever you’ve packed inside looks intentional. A book, a pouch, a spray of flowers. It works every time.
2. The Y2K throwback
The jelly bag was the bag of the early 2000s. And right now, that era is having the biggest fashion revival in recent memory.
Low-rise jeans, butterfly clips, platform sandals — our community leans all the way in. The clear Jelly Bag pairs with a mini dress or slip skirt and suddenly it’s 2003 in the best possible way. Transparent, structured, unmistakable. This bag was always ahead of its time. It just needed the rest of fashion to catch up.
3. The bold colour block
Some of the most stunning photos we receive are colour-blocked — a bright jelly bag, a matching or contrasting outfit, full commitment to the palette.
Our PVC bags come in colours bold enough to be the main event: matcha green, lavender, jade, black. Our community knows exactly what to do with them. A mint bag against a white linen set. A black jelly bag paired with a pastel fit. Lavender against head-to-toe camel.
When the bag is the colour, everything else can relax.
4. The off-duty everyday carry
Not every photo is a styled shoot — and some of our favourites aren’t. A commute, a coffee run, a weekend market. Someone living their actual life with a le.jelly bag on their shoulder.
This is where the jelly bag is most useful. Lightweight. Waterproof. Wipes clean in seconds. Jeans, a white tee, trainers — the bag elevates it without trying too hard. It’s the one accessory that works for Tuesday.
5. The “I’m obsessed” moment
A handful of our community photos come with captions along the lines of “I’m obsessed.” And every single time, we feel it.
There’s something about picking up a jelly bag for the first time — the weight, the texture, the way light moves through it — that converts people. It’s not a subtle bag. It doesn’t pretend to blend in. It arrives and says: here I am.
The people who say “obsessed” are usually on their second bag before the year is out. We love them. They’re our people.
The practical questions everyone asks
Is a jelly bag waterproof?
Yes. Both TPU and PVC are water-resistant and easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. A jelly bag is one of the few bags you can take to the beach, a pool, or a rainy afternoon at the market without worrying about it.
What fits in a jelly bag?
More than you’d expect. The Jelly Bag (35 × 24 × 17 cm) fits a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small makeup pouch, and a water bottle. The Petite is perfect for evenings — phone, cards, lip gloss, done. The Original works for anyone using it as an everyday bag, with room for a 13” laptop and the rest of their life.
How do you style a jelly bag?
The honest answer: however you want. The photos above are proof that there’s no wrong way. Summer dresses, Y2K fits, simple jeans, monochromatic looks — all of them work. The only rule is that it shows up in the photo.
What’s the difference between a jelly bag and a regular bag?
Material and transparency, mostly. A regular bag hides what’s inside; a jelly bag makes it part of the look. TPU (used in our Jelly Bag) is firmer and has a glassy, structured feel. PVC (used in the Original, Petite, and Baguette) is lighter and comes in solid bold colours. Both are durable, waterproof, and much lighter than leather.
